IHH School Year…
The Year One and Year Two training year extends from early September to late May. That period is divided into six “terms,” each from five to six weeks in duration. (Click HERE to see the IHH Schedule for term dates, etc.)
-
Full-time Year One participants normally attend the course for four hours on weekday mornings, with about 20-24 hours weekly spent on course-related activities, beyond morning class times.
-
Full-time Year Two participants on average attend the course for three hours on weekday mornings, with about 25-30 hours spent weekly on course-related activities, beyond morning class times.
-
Hands-On, Practical Ministry…
In the Year One and Year Two courses, two days per week are “Practical Ministry” days (see Hands-On Ministry and Relational Learning). These allow for group activities, skills training and excursions.
Practical Ministry Classes: For evaluation purposes, Practical Ministry is divided into “classes.” Each class is evaluated as the equivalent of one academic class per term, though the activities of Practical Ministry involve little traditional classroom instruction.
Practical Ministry also includes special Growth S.P.U.R.T. Events that take place throughout Years One and Two, including a two- to three-week mission trip.

Full-time, Part-time, Credit, Audit…
Year One and Year Two can be taken either full-time or part-time (click HERE for more information about part-time attendance), for credit or audit. "For credit " includes assignments and/or exams, and academic credits are earned toward graduation from IHH and for transfer to other schools. "Auditing " allows normal attendance, but does not include submission of assignments or exams, and no credits are earned. Click here for information about Part-time and Audit tuition…

Internship…
Year Three is a “Local Church Internship” served at home or abroad. The intern serves alongside local church leaders, gaining invaluable experience on the front lines of church life. Internships begin with an orientation period at the IHH campus and end there as well, with a time of debriefing. Throughout the internship, the IHH Internship Overseer maintains contact with the intern and the partnering church’s leadership, monitoring progress, helping with communication between them and responding to questions or concerns.
